ABOUT MYSELF
Hi, and welcome to my home on the net. If this had been my physical home, I would have welcomed you with a cup of something, but being in the virtual world, I can only humbly ask you to move around all the rooms, find out what you like, and enjoy yourself!
As usual, change happens. This time my blog is moved to blogger, at this blog. Try it out.
Currently I live in Bangalore, which is the capital of Karnataka state in India. I graduated from Thiagarajar College of Engineering ,Madurai, and completed my Master's degree from Indian Institute of Science , Bangalore. I worked in GE for some time in Bangalore. Right now I am working with one of the Semiconductor majors, in one of their Multimedia Application groups in Bangalore. You can think of my role as trying to bring together the latest advances in signal processing, semiconductor technology, cryptography, and the internet, to build electronic gadgets which the consumer can use, specially in multimedia. My work goes into, for instance, MP3 players, Digital cameras, GPS systems, MP3-CD players, Handheld computers etc.
In my free time, I love listening to music, to write poems, and to read a lot of books. Several of my poems are in Poetsindia.com, a website for "junior" poets like me. I like to travel, make new friends, and to eat a lot of food. I mean, really lots! My friends can testify to that! I also write occasional articles in business/technical magazines. My articles have appeared in The Economic Times, The TechMail, and The Deccan Herald. The most recent ones were in the TechMail, about how watermarking technologies could be used for content tracking, and in the Deccan Herald, about how interface technologies to portable devices are changing. I am the current secretary of the IEEE SP Society Bangalore chapter.
Thats all I have for the intro! you can go out and enjoy...:)
Its been a long time since I got over the IIMB fiasco, and still emails come to me regarding the IIMB admission process and why I wrote that remark. Maybe one day I will setup a separate page for it.
And I got married to Sangi in 03, and I have put some great phigs in the pictures page..Sangi currently works with a startup based in Bangalore, and eats Java for breakfast, while rava fits me well :).
