About the Company...
Since 1980, VehiCool (Climatran Corp. in the U.S.) has designed, tested and produced equipment for hundreds of transit buses in the U.S. It is the first company to develop single-stage and two-stage (indirect-direct) AAC equipment; first to develop rear-mount AAC units; first to include integral heating capability and first with solar-powered AAC systems. It's also the only firm in it's field to maintain an engineering bus to test and demonstrate VehiCool AAC systems. In addition to an impressive list of transit customers throughout the western U.S. the company has performed work for notable such organizations as:
U.S. Department of Energy U.S. Environmental Agency California Energy Commission National Renewable Energy Laboratory Northeast Electric Vehicle Consortium Cal State Poly-Pomona
GREENBREEZE INITIATIVE
VehiCool, in association with a major international environmental organization, is planning a unique and valuable Technology Transfer Program...the GreenBreeze Initiative. Through this program bus manufacturers, bus operators, equipment suppliers and government entities can acquire the rights to manufacture proprietary VehiCool AAC systems.
As a result, buses can be equipped with AAC systems at a first cost as much as 75% LESS than comparable vapor compression equipment, using local manufacturing facilities, and creating local employment.
Once AAC systems are installed, transit operators will reap the economic benefits of reduced fuel costs, lower maintenance costs and higher system reliability, while passengers enjoy the comfort of high-performance climate control. The result: human progress without environmental damage.
