ANGELITO ALTARES JIMENEZ (AAJ) finished Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1983 in Cagayan de Oro College (COC), Philippines. He Served as Department of Architecture President from 1980 to 1983. A holder of two Government Professional Career Service Eligibility. He was employed in the government service for 12 dedicated years. He first worked in 1976 as Draftsman/ Illustrator in the Bureau of Telecommunications, Department of Public Works, Transportation and Communications. Then while finishing his degree in night school, he served as Senior Draftsman/Artist Illustrator at National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA). It was during his employment with NEDA that he finally finished his degree.

His decision to leave the government job was carried by the invitation of his closed friend Luis C. Cuervo to form his private architectural Firm, Cuervo and Associates, Architects in Manila. He served as Associate Architect and second man of the firm for the next two years involving Design-Constructions Projects of Institutional Building, Residential Buildings, Warehouse and alterations/extensions of building facilities. The firm was doing well until such time when the economy worsen affected by the political status of the country. There was a sudden slowdown in the Construction Industry affecting significantly the young firm. The group finally decided to finding their own lead, AAJ found himself heading his way to try his luck in Japan.

His innate talent in the arts started early at the age of 4. He grew up with the obsession to master it. Most of the reading book pages of his grandfather were full of AAJ's funny letterings and sketches. His Grandfather sensing a potential in his grandson, encouraged AAJ's mother to send him a year earlier to primary school. School become the training ground. He formally started to develop his ultimate inclination to arts. He became recipients of drawing and painting awards. Charcoal portraits, posters, paintings and illustrations you name it AAJ will do it for free to his classmates and friends.

He was a Community Newspaper Editorial Artist and Government Magazine Cartoonist.. While in Government Service, he was commissioned for three consecutive year as member of Panel of Judges by the Department of Tourism in the Annual City Festival Painting Contest.

His love in the Arts has moved him up to a higher ground, in the field of Architectural Illustrations and Rendering. Added to his work experience, his expertise now includes Architectural Renderings in Water Color, Pen and Ink, Tempera and Computer Generated Presentations.
