These are some wonderful staghorn ferns I picked up an Yahoo! auctions.
I read that they prefer to grow on natural bark, since in their habitat they grow on the
sides of trees in the jungle. Here they are after I placed them on some large chunks
of bark I broke off a dead tree in the woods. I hope in several months they'll have
firmly rooted, and I'll be able to hang the bark pieces on the wall!
More plants to come! I have bromeliads (2 varieties), aloe (2-3 varieties), jade
plant, avocado tree, hylocereus undatus, a juniper bonsai, and heartleaf philodendron (who
doesn't). I have to fire up the wee cam and start snapping pictures!
