Q) So you like to read...
Oh yes. Very much so. My reading list is a bit long, but I have plans to finish most of it before I die *hehe*
QAnd writting?
One of my other favorite things to do. I have most vivid dreams, some I write down. Others I tell to friends. Dreams don't necesarily MEAN anything. Sometimes they're justa roadtrip for the mind. To quote a friend, I "dream more in one night than he does in a month."
Q)Your favorite things to do, I don't mean hobbies, they're on your other page, and because we know you'll say "computers, reading to the rats, and fishing." What else?
Alright, I'm facinated by the mind, it's strengths and maladies. Psychology, especially criminal and abnormal psych are a strong interest. Some people find that morbid that I would be also comfortable working in forensics... that's alright. I'm not easily squemish, nor am I death-obsessed. My views on death are my own, but when people ask they don't walk away scared.
Q) What do you think is your most recent happy memory?
*big grin* That's for me to know right now... hehe
Q)What do you think are your priorities in life?
What do you mean, "priorities"?
Q)You know, what's important, aims and goals, stuff like that?
Well, right now getting my job under control, and still ahving time to manage my personal life is up there. I value happiness, family and health, more-or-less in that order as the most important aspects to life. As for aims and goals, I dunno. I'll have a 4-year degree soon, the question is what do I do now?
Q)What types of computers do you have?
I have a Epson computer from 1981 that is still works. If you know where to look, you can still buy software for such things. Its operating system is DOS 3.3, back when DOS 3.3 was the fastest, most advanced program on the market. I also have a Mac PowerBook 180, a Power Mac 7K series, and an i-Mac. If you mean how many computers I have in my home, the answer is six.
Q)Which is better, Macs or PCs?
Good question. I own more Macs, but that's because I have Dual-Operating systems on my iMac: Win 95 and Mac OS 8.5. I can use PCs with as much easy as I can Macs. My college uses a windows platform. I still believe that DOS will rise again. Linux I'm attempting to learn. For graphics, Macs are better. Doing anything online I prefer PCs because everything minimizes so neatly.
Q)What do you like for breakfast?
Anything except lunch and dinner :-)
Q)What languages do you know?
Odd question, but okay, I speak American (not English), and a few words in French, Spanish, a bit of Italian (can you guess I am partial to the Latin-root, all stemming from the italic language base, hmm?) Klingon, and Helarian. I can swear in about 10 - 12 different languages. I'm not sure if that is a useful skill, but I have it.
Q) So with all those langauages, can you speak them well?
Nope. I study the structure and how things are put together. The same with mathematics. I liken it to someone who is able to build a car, but utterly incapable of driving.
Q) What's your Real World D&D character... what is Real World D&D?
Okayy, first it's a game, and not a reality. Some people can get all wrapped up in LARPs. Actually we haven't even play-tested it. I have a winged-gnoll barbarian mage.
Q)Why do you wear shorts and sandals in the winter!?!
I don't anymore. When I did it was because it was summer time in my world. D'uh ;-)
Q)Any current plans?
Slowly spreading my web to include the school server... building the ultimate game-console PC... just your average boring stuff.
Q)What TV shows/movies are your favorites?
Simpsons, I love the Simpsons. Jerry Springer makes me remember the trials of my life are not half as bizarre as other peoples'. ER is one of the best out there. South Park had a flavor all it's own. Fraiser and News Radio can make me laugh out loud. Nothing can rival the style of Star Trek (TOS, TNG, DS9, and VOY). Star Wars is the classic of all classics. And one can never forget the utter enjoyability of Wallace and Gromit. Though I like those shows, I actually don't watch a lot of TV. I can't stand it in large doses.
Q) If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
I'd like the ability to freeze time. There's never enough time sometimes.
Q) What animals are your favorite?
You mean pets? I like domestic exotics and dogs. Those are exotic pets that have been born and raised in captivity from parents of the same. I am not against exotic pets if it is a domestic. I am strongly against wild-caught exotics. Most of my pets fall into the Alternative category. I have had over ten rats at once. Dogs are wonderful, and need no justification *wink*
Q) Alternative pets?
Sure. A pet is generally a car, dog, goldfish, or hamster. A white mouse is a common pet, a white rat is an alternative pet, and a Gambian giant pouched-rat is an exotic pet. Gerbils are alternative, but chipmunks are exotic. An alternative animal can be bought at a typical pet shop, but they might not have that animal available at the time. Exotics usually need to be bought from special breeders, or you need certified papers to own.
