Please note: I have a particular affinity for all canines, and in particular the coyote. There is a pack that lives near my house, which I howl with. Actually, there are three packs, each claiming a different territory, but two are fairly far away. Coyotes will eat their smaller cousins, the fox, but this is rare, and a behavior only exhibited in times of hardship.

This is a page dedicated to the Coyote. It's not a resourse, more a tribute. What little information contained herein is accurate though.

Coyotes are usually shy animals, prefering to avoid human contact. That is not to say coyotes cannot coexist with humans. They can become pests, getting into trash, or bothering livestock. The coyote is a surviver and a scavenger as well as a hunter. They weight, on average, about 30 lbs.
