CATS vs LAPTOPS: Which one is better suited for your lifestyle? I wrote this on my small grey laptop with my small grey cat sitting beside me.

Both:
-Cats go 'purr purr.' Laptops go 'whir whir.'
-You need to feed a cat. You need to charge a laptop's battery.
-Both radiate heat, and keep your lap warm and cozy.
-Both can still work in power failures.
-Both make good use of mice.
-Both can be considered carry-on luggage.
-Neither come when you call.

In favor of laptops:
-Cats do not have built in illumination.
-You do not need to neuter your laptop.
-Cats do not have built in Modems.
-You don't have to pay vet bills for a laptop.
-You cannot play Solitaire on a cat.
-It is hard to send e-mail with a cat.
-Laptops do not need to be let out, or require litter boxes.
-Shedding is not a problem with a laptop.
-Laptops do not beg for attention while you're on the phone.
-Cats will jump on your computer, but your computer will never jump on your cat.

In favor of cats:
-Laptops will not chase string or catnip mousies.
-Cats are better for cuddling.
-It is difficult for someone to get your credit card number off your cat.
-Laptops will not keep your home rodent free.
-Cats don't need to be upgraded.
-Laptops are not self-replicating.
-A T1 line is not required to make your cat quicker.
-You do not need to have a color monitor to fully enjoy your cat.
-Cats look better sitting on a hearth.
-You never have to rebuild your cat's desktop.
