A brief history of the Guppy ...

  1859 Guppies were named scientifically by Wilhelm Peters
        scientific name Poecilia reticulata.

  1866 Specimens sent to British Museum
       by Rev. Dr R. J. Lechemere Guppy.

  1913 Scientific reclassification by Dr C.T. Regan
       to Lebistes reticulatus.

  1963 Corrected again to Poecilia reticulata
       by Dr Rosen & Dr Bailey.

  1988/89 I started breeding Guppies in the UK.

  1994 I had giant females with colored tails and fantails.
       I brought my Guppies to Cyprus.

  1995 I had males with colors in all fins. 4 colors in same fish.

  1997 I had females with color in all fins except the pectorals.

  1998 I had giants with some color.
        I had males with colors in all fins. 5 colors in same fish.
  1999 I hope to have giants with colors in all fins. 5 or more colors in same fish.
