½¾¼½¾¼½¾¼½¾¼½¾¼½¾¼½¾¼½¾¼½¾¼½¾¼½¾...in all our glorious past, all we have been doing is wading through time trying to assemble the answers to the questions arising from that all pervading question, What is the purpose of our existence ?
Just creatures at the topmost hierarchy of that, which has been understood and comprehended by atleast a collection of collaborative human minds. A lateral understanding could even open our minds into holding the possibility that at each level in the hierarchy (note: Creatures at different levels may have their own intelligent heirarchies), each entity may comprehend being at the topmost level, of course given their intelluctual stamina and lateral strength of their different ways of existential comprehension (in our case, our minds). Then can we laterally digress so far as to accomodate these relative existential comprehensions across levels, even across parallel hierarchies.
Creatures at the top-most hierarchy...hmmm! Hope we don’t approach the end of the rainbow with awkward disillusionment. We may have travelled in our individual vertical paths and thereby contributed to the lateral intelluctual property towards understanding our dynamic existential radiance. But then, what about our own lateral journeys? Do we safely balk on the sunlight of our vertical existence or fearlessly pioneer a new vertical path (lateral existence) with each morning sunrise? After all, the longer our vertical existence, the lesser we have actually made any progress towards realizing the actual nature of things. A more succulent analogy to this perhaps, would be that of climbing a sky-scraper - each successive floor climbed endorses our belief towards having arrived at a height from where the nature of things, seems understandable, even though from a distance. We hold on to every floor climbed, whatsoever they mean to us, cherish every view however illogical they may become over time, living in constant fear, knowing that our time shall pass, unless we learn to periodically restructure our own ways of understanding the nature of things. Our pursuit towards, building an intangible future for ourselves and supposedly tangible for our siblings lead us away from this realization. What we can do is to let our lateral thoughts pervade us from time to time, thus restructuring our vertical existence for perhaps a better view, which might improve our understanding towards the nature of all things.

So, then, being light years away from that all pervading question and going even further, what have we got apart from our individual vertical existences, supposedly collaborating laterally, with a hope and a distant smile among the lateral thinkers of our genre and beyond, that one day we... close this distance, broaden our smiles, crinkled deep set eyes, perhaps; permeate through the lateral perceptions to... to... truly arrive.
