Requirements

When making decisions about admissions, we consider several factors as we review and evaluate each application individually.

Requirements: (GPA) is the most significant factor, but we may also consider:

• Your academic background, including the difficulty of the courses you've successfully completed
• Your achievements and accomplishments, both in and out of school
• Related factors you tell us about in writing
• No specific GPA or other qualification alone guarantees admission.

*Because the University is a state-assisted institution, most of our places are reserved for Texas residents; admission is highly competitive for nonresidents.

For your application to be complete, you must submit the following items to be considered for readmission:
• A complete application form
• A nonrefundable $50 application fee
• Separate and official transcripts from each college you've attended
• A 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4-point scale) on all transferable coursework taken (if any)
• SAT score of 1000 or ACT of 23
