One of the most important need is to educate childrens here in USA, and childrens world wide. No child left behind scheme is a debatable and controversial educational program of the current US governments policy. My interest is not go and delve into this program, to see if the program realy helps the left out children's in education, nor I wanted to get into the controversy sorrounds it.
But, the very mention of "no child left behind" brings one's attention that there is a desperate lack of sufficient basic education to all childrens. Meaning, there are substantial number of children's are left behind at all levels of school education. Not knowing that their path to the future laid down without the benefit of knowledge, which is a resource of Power for better life. The lack of it does not only make the future generation powerless, but will make them vulnerable to get into life's activities that are less powerful and destructive to their upbringing and their future.
WHAPT HAPPENED TO THE TEACHERS, WHERE DID ALL THE TEACHERS GO!!??.
In the coming weeks and months, this topic of my blog is going to expand BIGGER AND BROADER to address the issues in the school system such as teaching, mentoring, curriculum and desperate lack of enough teachers especially in science and maths in USA, and all over the globe, that is why I have choosen the topic educating the childrens of the world. If you look at the concern and shortcomings in teaching in US, Canada, Belgium, Australia, UK and allmost all other nations, it is alarmingly scary that we do not have enough teachers to teach in schools.
Here in US,
The nation will need 240,000 new math and science teachers over the next decade, according to a recent NSB report.
America's precollege science and math education is mediocre enough to threaten the nation's continued scientific supremacy in today's "changed world" of globalized science, warns Science and Engineering Indicators 2006, NSB's latest biennial report on the state of the nation's research enterprise, which was released in February. NSB members feel such strong "continued and growing concern" about the situation that they also issued a shorter companion document, America's Pressing Challenge—Building a Stronger Foundation, as an urgent call to action.
