On 2nd Feb, the bible study group at Marthoma church(sunnyvale) conducted the study at my apartment in Orangevale. I am most delighted to see everyone who took the pains to travel all the way from bay area. Many thanks to all of them.

I am happy that God has given me an apartment for myself so I can invite people over for prayer. You know this could have been impossible if I had room mates. Thanks be to God

The day started with most of the ladies getting up early in the morning and cooking those side dishes and curry. All of them were supposed to reach around 11:30, they all promptly knocked my door at around 11. Just an indication how indians are in this side of the planet :-). Just kidding.

We first started with a birthday song for Sonali who celebrated her birthday the week before.

Later, we all decided to head to the outdoors and play some sports. So we drove to the nearby Orangevale community center and played a few games. We played dog and the bone,passing the cap and then soccer. Dont have to mention my team lost :-).

Let me name all of them here from left: Vinu and sonali,Binesh and Juley, Sujan and rebekah, Binu Cisco and Suni, Sujith(with binitha not around :-), he was having a fun time), Benu and Manju,Arun(Arun's wife Manju is at Abu dabhi, next biblestudy at my place she will be around),Binu and Bindu,Rekha Abu(see those macho chest :-). BTW His new wedded wife, Shilpa is in South Africa ) and Shoby. Those dudes sitting below are the species under extinction "bachelors", Ashy, Teny and me. As of Apr 28th 2002, I will be the last man standing.

After the sports, we headed back home and had our lunch. There were some great recipies made by the ladies. Most I liked Manju's fish curry. ( I was stunned by the nice smelling aroma). Adipolli chechi, Kudos :-) Bindu made kheema, Rekha made cabage thoran, Suni made beans thoran and i conveniently forgot what juley brought. But Juley did bring with her a few goodies back from india.

I named everyone except Sumeetha. She is the one wearing a black dress sitting next to Rebekah. Sincere appreciation goes to her, since all these pictures belong to her and this page would non-existent if she had not send me these snaps. Thanks sumeetha.

We later had Quiz, crypto-verses, fill in the verses and passage puzzles. It was a great time of fellowship that we all had.

We had worship led by abu and biblestudy was led by Benu. He was leading a study on the unforgiving servant.

We had a great time of sharing and abu also taught us Above all else song. It was a great time of fellowship. I hope God blesses this group and multiply the strength. In the near future, you are likely to see lots of kids. I am just waiting to see who is first :-).
