MICHAEL YOUNG

For 20 years, I have endeavored to make a career within the Information Technology (I.T.) industry, with the explicit goal of joining a rapidly expanding company with future prospects of leadership, for myself, within the industry.  It is my express wish to build an I.T. organization that will influence business success on a global scale and help establish a team of experts and visionary leaders.  I have built enterprise solutions, designed e-commerce sites, and coordinated information security and trained and/or advised I.T. leaders for some of the worlds leading companies and organizations.  My many years of industry and government experience make me an ideal candidate for any I.T. organization in today’s global market.

Management Strategy standard in use worldwide.  The InfoSec project was developed in accordance with PRINCE (II) project management methodologies; providing detailed solutions and options for future information systems development including RDBMS upgrades.

Enterprise Information Systems, Lockheed Martin Company: From Sept 1996 to Apr 1998

Staff, Computer Systems Analyst, IT Manager for Special Programs: Responsible for the design implementation and day-to-day management of all Information Technology infrastructure projects within a closed environment, to include budget management were IT was concerned.  As such I supported a contractor wide area network on different multimillion-dollar programs to include the management of local & remote IT teams dealing with multiple operating systems; their integration, interoperability and maintenance.   I held responsibility for specifying, procuring and installing communication equipment, security devices, and other non-computer related equipment needed to support the program.  The systems provided communicate with 8 geographic locations across the United States.  These locations represented the coordinated effort of 6 different corporations and their end user and customers.  I held configuration management authority over all locations with the assistance of on site system administrators.  For contracted customers, I acted strictly as a consultant managing system compatibility issues.  The efforts were engineered to provide for the smooth and reliable transition of information to meet the design goals of the engineering program.  The results: 58 percent increase in productivity; and no cost over runs for my clients in their engineering goals and requirements.   The results of my efforts were presented at an annual business brief, delivered to senior Lockheed Martin executives detailing a formula showing how the IT services provided have affected productivity, efficiency and ultimately profitability.
