By: Michael Young Ask these questions of me, and
I will answer.
Do you love me,
beyond doubt or reason, without haste, in a blind passion, running through
every view of your being, confusing the mind, subjecting the will, a
murderous desire that sustains life at the limits of human endurance? Do you need me,
as an addiction so profound and remote that the lack of fulfillment leads to
a complete and utter non-existence, removing pleasure from the realms of
reality and placing demands on the soul to search forever more? Do you worship
me, as only a slave can worship his goddess, never denying the reverence and
forever constructing a shrine in which to practice his faith, keeping a
covenant in honor and fidelity, which only true devotion can keep? Do you fear me,
as fear brings respect and respect is given, or the fear of loss that
sustains the faith and your devotion, fear that only you can face, fear that
creates strength and bonds our souls within it’s protective embrace? Do you suffer
for me, in sacrificing your inner being in order to bond our spirits, now is
not the issue, but the price of suffering with me is prevalent to the pain of
suffering without me? Do you labor
for me, giving of your time, your life energy to bring forth the wealth of
creation to lay at my feet as only you can in reverent sacrifice to your
goddess, keeping you oath of respect? Do you wait for
me, the long lonely hours we are apart, the dark and lonely nights, in
solitude, the loudness of silence, the integrity of night, uncompromising and
forever threatening our sanity, when we are apart? Do you live for
me, with every breath, with every beat, with every sinew, each step you take,
each decision you make, based on the joint us, not the individual me, were
life brings everlasting truth, were truth breeds integrity, were integrity
ensures honor, were honor generates respect, and respect guarantees love? Ask these
questions of me, and my answer to such complex issues, my answer to God, my
answer to the heavens, the earth, the moon, the stars, the spirits that watch
over us, bind us, protects us; Ask these
questions of me, eternity be my witness! I will answer,
I must answer, My answer . . . is, YES! June
