My Favorite Sports Sites

Life without sports, especially professional sports, is only black-and-white.
Because I come from Taiwan originally and stay in the States right now,
most of the following sites are of those two countries.
The following three web pages are general sports news websites.

Professional Baseball

It is an incredible season for the major league baseball. The long-lasting homerun record was broken by Mark McGwire, and it seems like it is much more difficult to be broken.
My "local" team, Boston Red Sox, finally caught the wild card and began their post-season with a nice victory. God bless Red Sox!!! Unfortunately, after losing two straight close games, their season is over. We can only hope next year is our year.

Taiwan has two different professional baseball leagues. They did not have a final series between these two leagues. Both of the leagues are still very young, less than ten years old. Hopefully, they can catch the level of Japan's professional baseball league and the major league in the nearly future.

Professional Basketball

The favorite professional sport I like to watch is NBA. The bad news is NBA is facing the worse situation of a professional sport. They have annouced the postpone of the training camp and the cancelation of the pre-season games because of the lockout. I hope every team and player can think seriously about the fans like myself and understand nothing is worse than losing the fans.
My favorite team, without doubt, is the Chicago Bulls. I began watching NBA about ten years ago, and just love the Bulls even though my local team is the legendary Boston Celtics. However, if the ending of the Bulls dynasty become true, I might need to change my favorite team.
