Change of pace here. It's obvious from Rod's sly quips regarding the humour level of Bill Gates, and his views on the Microsoft Network, that maybe Mr. Smith is abit of a Mac man. I could be right.

"Mac (the Apple Macintosh) is our (VOOM Advertisings') 99.9% tool of trade." explains the Apple lover, "We know how to work the buggers and they don't crash. Often.

We use Macs exclusively to forge our way into the new media. Macs help us to retrain and refocus, because you can use them as friendly tools rather than aggro ogres just waiting to ask for a new exec.bat command (I can relate to that one, Rod!). While we're becoming increasingly 'PC Compatible' we like the way Macintosh is now moving to very, very open systems, while in the software arena Microsoft, for example, is encouraging people to buy suites of proprietary products. I'm not knocking Microsoft's gear (we use it all the time) but I am in favour of what the PC world calls 'open systems'. Having said this, many interactive specialists hot shots use both Mac and PC systems to do different jobs, eg. Director vs C++ programming."
