HYS Band

AKA Erwin and the Chuksters

The Koinonia praise band of NCPC has been changing slowly over the years with people coming and going. Sometimes we don't have enough people to complete a band so we have recruited some members of the college band. While separately we just seem like normal bands, we can join forces and form HYS SHY Band. Then we can form Blazing Sword and defeat all of our Robeast enemies out there. Well not really, but here is the rundown on the current band, anyway. 
Erwin - Worship leader, melody vocals, rhythm guitar
        Erwin Chuk uses Ovation guitars
        (Ovation Legend 12-string.)
Bernard - Who knows? Right now it's a mystery.
Ho - This guy will be playing the bass for the coming
        year now that he is in the Koinonausea group.  He
        was musically trained at AKC.
        Ho Yun uses Ibanez basses with passive EQ (ill!!) (SR 400)
Arnold - Sound man who mixes on a Mackie.
        Arnold Ng uses Mackie mixers (Mackie VLZ.)
Whangbong - Technical director of group who shows us
        how to wrap cables.
Michelle - In charge of the transparencies and other 
        administrative things.
We are kind of small, but I think we have a great group of people. We are still finding our sound but we hope that we can worship God and lead our congregation effectively into worship. We pick and choose songs from many sources including Hosanna, Vineyard, and People of Destiny.

Our band uses EV mikes but I think we need some wired headset mikes for all of the instrumentalists, even cheap ones. Even though the sound may not be as good, it'll be much easier to praise using them. I think every band should use them. After using one for an entire year, I think they are awesome.
