Philippi Praise GroupWell praise is going pretty well. I'm starting to catch up to the current, but not too current. Right now I'm doing a lot of stuff from Light the Fire Again, and some others, but I mix in with a lot of high quality old stuff from several old Touching the Father's Hearts. In case you are curious, here is the run-down of the Philippi praise band.Bernard - worship leader, upper harmony vocals, rhythm guitar (Takamine 12-string) Bernard Kim only uses Takamine Guitars (until he can afford to buy a Taylor). Tony - Band co-leader, rhythm guitar (Guild 6-string), melody vocals Tony Park uses Guild Guitars. Anna - alto and soprano harmony vocals (not at the same time you silly person) Anna Lee uses Anna's voice Julie - Julio as she is called sings soprano melody vocals for now. She has a good voice, but doesn't believe it enough to use it. Julie Choi doesn't use Julio's voice (but should, and is learning to) Doe - Keyboardist (Peavey), sometimes-vocalist Doe uses Peavey Keyboards. Peter "Monkey-boy" Kim - Bassist (G & L) - Plays Dakoda like a fiend. Peter Kim uses G & L Basses. Andy - Drummer (our church Ludwig's) - just started too, but is a solid musician so by the time he is my age, he will rock my big ol' butt. He is currently 15. Andy Chung uses Ludwig Drums. We just got some new Shure Beta 58's so our mics are good. I use an Audio Technica headset mic which doesn't sound as good as the Shures but makes leading praise a lot easier. I think we have a pretty solid band. Not advanced enough to do Christian Assembly stuff yet but we have a tight group that has fun together. Hopefully we are able to lead the congregation in worship effectively.
