Having a Blast in Scottsdale -- Jello Cubes
from this cyber-wizard
Okay, y'all presumably know the basic formula for jello:
  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • mix in the jello stuff
  • 1 cup of cold water
  • put in the fridge for 5 hours
That works great for jello. For Jello Cubes, you'll need some cool stuff:
  • 3 to 6 ice cubes per small jello mix packet
  • refrigerated alcohol
  • 2 or 3 ice cube trays, chilled, per small jello mix packet
  • 1 three cup storage container, chilled
  • 1 thin knife, chilled
  • plenty of freezer space
Standard ice cube trays hold 1 cup of fluid when full. It takes a while for the jello to set if the trays are filled all the way up. To make Jello Cubes faster, fill the trays up half way.
  • Boil 3/4 cup of water
  • Depending upon how strong you want the Jello Cubes to be, add from 3 to 6 ice cubes to cool down the jello mix
  • Add enough alcohol make from 1 3/4 to 2 cups of mixture
  • Fill the ice cube trays
  • Put in the freezer
  • Pop out the Jello Cubes with the thin knife into the storage container. Separate layers of Jello Cubes with aluminum foil
