This cyber-wizard at large in
the Middle Eastern deserts

. These are the Biblical lands, also known as Mesopotamia, "the land between two rivers," the Tigris and Euphrates. This region was home to some of the oldest cultures. Religions have born and died in and around this area.

Being a desert area, the temperature can fall (and often does) more than 35 Fahrenheit, or 20 Centigrade after sun down. Dawn and dusk bring additional strength to the ever-present breezes. Breezes help make the hot, dry air a little more tolerable, during the long summers.
Nights are wonderful, around large fires that restore some of the lost warmth. There are few forests for fuel. Plants grow underground in the desert, just as most elsewhere. Plant roots grow just a little under the desert surface, deep enough to keep a little cool, just above the layers of sandrock and limestone.
The flatness of the desert is amazing. Anything on the horizon appears to be suspended in the sky. During full moons, there is no night, just a darker sky.

Goats and sheep are still herded through much of the desert. Shepherds drive in trucks, today, but still track across the desert with their flocks. Shepherds feed their flocks onion seeds and other bits of plants that can be tossed out from carried bags. They leave behind little bits of that, some refuse, and some droppings.

In the late winter, the moisture thickens at night, and in the early mornings, fog sets in. This is thick fog. A luminous grey-white substance that hides your hands at full arms-length. As the day continues, the heat of the sun dissipates the fog.
With spring, the desert turns into a sea of green, as the dormant plants, and the newly seeded plants, consume the rainfalls and sprout.

. The Vastness
. Sunrise The sunrise? Be alert or you'll miss it.
120 Heat. Love the heat. It normally ranges between 42 and 52 Centigrade, during the summer days.
Under Heaven and Hell Desert storms are incredible. Mountainous deserts are the best. You can sit on a mountain, and watch Mother Nature wreak havok a few miles away. Of course, mountains are few and very far between in this region.
Full moon On night of a full moon, the only differences between night and day are the heat, and the colors. If you are color-blind, only the coolness gives the night away.
