. The central areas of both France and Spain are what the French term, "Les Massifs Central." This territory is spanned by dormant volcanoes. That is: high desert, scab lands, or barren, rocky, mountains. It is wonderful to trek through, if you enjoy doing that. A word of wisdom: if you find 3m tall fences in the middle of nowhere, being sure you are on the correct side of the artillery target area can be a good thing.
