There I was,
Finally in your arms,
How long I’ve waited for this moment,

I held you so close,
The sweet aroma of your hair,
Brushed me off my feet,
The look in your beautiful eyes,
Lifted me away to pure ecstasy,

Never have I felt so safe,
So complacent,

For the first time in my life,
Everything was perfect,
I felt important,
And most of all I felt loved,

Then as the bells rang,
You started to leave,
Oh how I wanted you to stay,
Your beauty departing from my sight,
Just as miraculously as you arrived....

Awakening from my world,
I sit up on my bed and shut off the alarm,
Another fantasy, another hopeless wish gone by,
As I travel back to reality,
I sit and cry...
