My Tribute to My Boyfriend-- Brian Marks Nowotny!!

Where do I begin when I talk about Brian? I guess I should start at the very beginning. It all started on a rainy November day back in 1993 when a very good friend of mine, Carissa, pointed out (in a very high school girlish way) this "really cute guy" at school. I was in tenth grade at the time, and the "really cute guy" was Brian. Carissa and I called him the "Chad Allen" guy for a very long time because we always said that he looked like Chad Allen.

Around late November of my junior year (now 1994) my friend, Karen, introduced me to Brian and that was the beginning of a BEAUUUUUUUUTIFUL RELATIONSHIP! (: Brian and I talked nonstop. We talked for hours on the phone, went on walks, and realized we had a lot in common -- we loved GOD, trucks, the same kind of music, hiking, nature, and smoking cigars. On December 19, 1994 Brian and I officially became a COUPLE.

Over the next several years, Brian and I went through many things together. We lost loved ones together, learned things together, went to each other's proms (Brian was a year younger than I), and went to each other's graduations. During Brian's freshman year of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), and my sophomore year, we both began experiencing huge changes in our lives. I decided that I wanted to date other people. Brian didn't want it at all, but he agreed because he knew that it was something I wanted to do.

I dated around for about a year and a half. Through it all, Brian was there to listen, depend on, and continue loving me. I never stopped loving him, either. During this time, I know that Brian and my friendship truly blossomed and we became the best of friends.

Now it is nearly four and a half years later and Brian and I are back together...this time it's for good. We both know what it's like to try to live without each other and it's impossible. Brian is one of the sweetest, kindest, most loving people that I have ever met. Girls always seem to flock to him because of his charm, and guys depend on him as a friend because he is so down-to-earth, good-humored and fun to be around. I am so lucky to be able to call him my boyfriend and my best friend. So, this is my little tribute to him...to US...and to FOREVER... enjoy!

Brian and I in May of 1998 before Brian took me to the Majestic Theater to see my favorite music artist, Amy Grant, perform her "Behind the Eyes" concert. This is the most recent picture of Brian that I have developed but, TRUST ME--there are more on the way as soon as I get them developed!! (:

"Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go, I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me." Ruth 1:16
