Our ride is quite a distance to come to but our locality, scenery, camp, trails and very friendly people make this ride a must. Bring your entire family, not just the horsey ones, because there is a lot here for them to do - swimming, fishing and just shopping in our many unique gift shops just to name a few. Our base camp is in a field right next to the Lake Hooe Resort with complete access to the resort's game room, sauna, showers and laundry room. Just a short walk away in the town of Copper Harbor are restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations and much more. The Isle Royale Queen makes daily trips to the remote island wilderness of Isle Royale National Park which can be seen from Brockway Mountain. Brockway Mountain is one of the highest points in the state of Michigan and just happens to overlook our ride camp, making for some fantastic photography, as does Lake Superior. There is a $5 camping fee for the filed. Camping spots at the resort with electrical hookup are available - call the Lake Fanny Hooe Resort for a reservation at 1-800-426-4451 (please tell them that you are with the Keweenaw ride). Cabins and motel rooms are also available by reservation.
