I am a Booking Officer for the City of Overland Park, Kansas (population 112,000 and reaching approx. 200,000 during the day).

This is a brand new position and would like to field any and all suggestions regarding efficiency, strategy, tactics and any reasoning behind themone might want to share so we may be able to present them for our SOP.

If any information on our current position will help it is as follows:

* We work mids, two of us, we have been trained in PPCT, handcuffing, OC spray, printing, we don't respond to scenes (although we would like to), they are working on a limited commission for us to be able to take custody (unknown to what extent the powers of the commission will include), and we might carry OC and handcuffs.

Although all of this is still in the making I would appreciate any input and suggestions anyone might have to aide us in making this position as efficient as possible for both us and the officers. I apologize for the limited information and hope to implement some hopeful ideas, Thanks for your time.
