Cultural buildings are an important part of the community. It should come as no surprise that some of these buildings are found on spoons. But surprisingly, we do not find as many of this type of building as one would reasonably expect.
Left: Art Institute, Chicago, Illinois, was a prime institution for the training of artists in the newest styles. This magnificent spoon has a piece of copper inlaid in the bowl and the picture is bright-cut engraved on the copper. This is a very unusual style.
