BIOGRAPHICAL
Photography I have always enjoyed walking and camping the deserts and mountain forests of the Southwest. I photographed because I loved what I saw and so does everyone else. Hiking and photography fit together very naturally. I bought my first professional quality camera, an Olympus OM-1 35mm SLR, in 1977. I used the camera for years without really understanding film and light meters. Many images never made it properly to film. In June 1996, I educated myself through books and magazines. My life changed! I threw away the badly exposed and poorly composed images. These pages show just a few of the better images that resulted. Thank you for visiting. |
Photo left, me, Jeffrey Wong, taking a lunch break None. I haven't published anywhere--I've never submitted much of anything anywhere. My dentist had some of my images in his home. Then he got remarried, and his new wife relegated them to his office, where they get better exposure anyway. Since I've posted mostly desert landscapes on these pages, I call this my Sons of the Desert Portfolio (to borrow from a Laurel and Hardy title flick). I live and work in Las Vegas, Nevada.
