Vangel Dereban is only one of the silversmiths who have been carrying on the Macedonian filigree making tradition for decades.  From his little boardwalk shop, he has made jewlery for queens and paupers alike, and has become widely known throughout Macedonia and the world.

• Filigree:  a weaving art using thin threads of either gold or silver.

• Granulation: attaching tiny silver or gold spheres to a sheet.
