Happy Birthday Mom
March 30
NO OTHER LOVE LIKE MOTHER'S LOVE
A Mother's love is something that no one
can explain,
It is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it or take that love away ...
It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters even though the heart is breaking ...
It believes beyond believing when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty of the rarest, brightest gems ...
It is far beyond defining, it defies all explanation,
And it still seems a secret like the mysteries of creation ...
A many splendored miracle man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence of God's tender guiding hand.

I always liked celebrating your birthday, March 30, because not only did I love you very much, it meant that winter was over and spring was just around the corner! You know how much I hate winter,...Just can't wait for warm weather.
I hope you like this page. I made all of the background graphics and I chose red roses because I know that roses are your very favorite flower. Maybe I'll find a purple surprise. (p.s. My friend Betty sent the birthstone necklace, up above, and said to be sure to say Happy Birthday for her.)
Isn't that something! I just love these!
God
made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.

Mom is a champion knitter. She won a blue ribbon at our County Fair for a multi-patterned afghan she knitted. I remember her knitting for hours. The patterns were so complicated that my dad read the directions to her as she knitted. Mom taught me to knit, and at the young age of 13 I also won a blue ribbon at the fair for a fisherman's knit sweater (entered in the adults division) that I made. Mom still knits a lot, even when her arthritis is acting up, and makes 200-300 pairs of mittens for Project Share every year.
Thanks Mom, for all of your 'patience'! (We never did have the patience to learn crocheting....)
Love You, Mom!
