Welcome to Bob's Art section. Every so often, Bob will upload new art he's made, whether it's in Paint or Fireworks. This page focuses on banners he's made for signatures.
This was inspired by the remix of By Myself featured on REANIMATION. The ending is one of my favourite pieces of music. Once I made a simple green box, and then found a picture of Chester. From there, I edited Chesters image to make it look for like a painting, blurring the image. To finish, I put some of the lyrics on the top and bottom of the page.
After making the above image, I wanted to replicate the style with Mike. I took the lyrics from Faint (another favourite of mine) and then chose a purple colour to finish it off.
Being a big fan of Hellboy, I thought I'd make one to show my love to the big guy. After using Google Image search to find a suitable image, I blew him up a little, and removed the background. I found a gold/orange colour which really went well with Hellboy's skin, and then finished the banner off with Hellboy's eternal catchphrase.
This was made for a friend of mine, who wanted something similar to my other faint banner. This time however, I took Mike and made "painted". A quick drop shadow later and that was that.
With Kill Bill Volume 1 fast approaching, I thought that more people should be more aware of the movie, so I made this. "Acquiring" the image from the official movie site, it was simply a matter of using the poster tag line to finish off the banner.
This was made around the time Nicole and I (see the blog entries for August) were having problems, and rather than take it out on anyone, I put it into making banners (weird, yes). This was inspired from Vanilla Sky what I'd seen and was left pretty speechless. It seemed to echo certain parts of my life, so I made this!
