This display of my Ricky, Skipper (b/l), Skipper (s/l) and Skooter (s/l) dolls shows the difference between the pink skin tone of the Ricky doll and the tan skin tones of the other dolls. In 1965, Ricky doll was produced in the tan skin tone and in 1966, he came out in the pink tone. (p. 37, Skipper, identification and value guide, 1998)
