Hi! I am Elizabeth "Libby" Cameron, and this is my home page.
These portraits express my lifelong passion for painting.
I love to study what makes each subject uniquely themselves.
I enjoy painting people with their horses.
I've painted many "first horse or pony" portraits too!

This is an oil of my Morgan Filly at 2 1/2 years old.

I usually work in oils or acrylic, but some people like my
watercolor-mixed media for smaller head studies.

They say it is unusual to find an artist who paints people,
animals and landscapes equally well. I strive for a high
degree of realism blended with impressionism in the
backgrounds, to make my subject the center of attention.

Many times I've started out with a general idea
agreed upon, but then during the reference
photo session the subject did something wonderfully
unexpected and a unique portrait was born.

I can combine parts of several photos for a painting.
Sometimes people will send me a selection of their favorite
photos and ask for my input on creating a painting for them.
My goal is to make a beautiful work of art that
keeps a subject's spirit with the person who loves them.

Time payments are a nice way to have
your ideal portrait come to life.
