These are the autographs found in Lydia's autograph book. They were gathered from 1868 thorough 1886. Some have faded so badly I will have to tell you what they say but many you can read for yourself.

This is the cover of her book.

This one reads: " To Lydia When twilight draws her curtain And pins it with a star Remember you friend Clara Though she has wandered far. Clara Clough Haverhill N.H. April 30th, 1868"

This one reads: The Last Good Bye. Upon this bed of pain I lie And take my pen to say Good-Bye For I'll not be with you very long As I hope to join the Angel throng. 2. The angels all around the throne Are hovering quietly one by one, And when I've joined them beyond dutchy Please cherish this "My Last Good Bye." 3. Good Bye, my sister, brave and true, I'm sad to think of leaving you. Yet still, as on thro life you glide, I'll follow closely by your side. 4. But tho my form you cannot see, Please! Be at rest! I'm near to thee. And when it comes your time to die Please meet me where there is no Good Bye. Emma F. Swarts Scranton Pa. Nov. 18th, 1879" These two sisters were close all their lives. It was Emma who gave Web his diary every Christmas.

This woman was 83 years old when she signed the book. This is the right corner. She must have written this with a pin.
