Instamatic 104.
The Australian produced Instamatic 50 ,100, and 104 were initially marketed with a metallized sticker inside them indicating from whence they came. Later they were stamped with the country of origin as for other Kodaks of the world. Those with the metallized sticker are scarcer and more sort after by today's collectors.
And just in case you are wondering--there is nothing under the sticker. Obviously wherever the part was made that went into the assembled product here in Oz, there was enough forethought not to stamp it with foreign markings.
All other models assembled here actually carried the name of the country of origin of the parts, but most were sold in Australian packaging.
The following production tables have been pieced together from records held by various production departments at Kodak(Australasia),and are released with their permission. As indicated earlier, production records-as seems to be the case with Kodak worldwide- are rather scant, and indeed none were kept at all prior to 1966.
Pre 1966 figures are estimates only, based on information supplied by ex employees.
This resume of camera production in Australia was put together with the full co-operation of Kodak (Australia) Pty. Ltd without whose assistance it would not have been possible, and any errors or omissions are entirely mine and not those of the company.
Ex employees were also invaluable with their help, and in particular Mt Bill Tester who provided a lot of the early information from his own personal records
