The Train Place

The Train Place is Australia's Largest Permanent Model Railway and features Displays in G, O, HO, N and 15" gauges and is situated 1 hours drive from either Brisbane or Ipswich. Consquently has become one of Doug's favourite places to visit.

G'Vention95

Organized by Toowoomba Trains & Toys G'Vention95 was held on the Easter 1995 long weekend, and was attended by visitors as far away as Townsville Qld and Melbourne Vic. Along with clinics and demonstrations from representives of the Australian Distributers of LGB, Aristo-Craft, Bachmann and Remote Control Systems, four Garden Railways were visited, 3 in Toowoomba and 1 in Warwick.

The Clog Barn

An overnight stop at Coffs Harbour on the way to a wedding in August 1999 found us visiting the Garden Railway and Model Dutch Village at The Clog Barn

The Toenail Ridge Shortline

No trip to Western Australia would be complete without an overnight stop in Adelaide. So on 3rd July 2000, a great night was spent running "The Ridge" with Kathy and Phil.
