I will never forget when he introduced me as his best friend. I became his daugher-in-law by marrying his son, it was his choice to consider me his best friend. Everyone should be so lucky.

His daughters Marie and Annie did not attend the reunion. Almost all of Marie's family came. His sister Josie Mae was unable to attend. All were missed.

I have had the privledge of knowing most of the family. His sister , Ester, died before I became part of the family, but I knew all three of her children.. Her children did not attend the reunion. William and Alvin have also passed away, neither of their families attended. The family is not as close as it could be, but when they do get together everyone enjoys theirselves very much. Everyones life is so busy - they don't take the time to focus on where they came from instead of where they are going.
