Mutt finds an interesting medal
He had put this away forty years ago and forgot about it. The other day he was going through a box of duplicated coins from his specialized collection and mixed in with the 2x2 white envelopes was a heaver one with no inscription on the envelope. It turned out to be a beautiful chocolate copper small 33 mm medal of 1893. |

Next, followed days of searching the Internet, postings on the rec. groups, and e-mail the identification became clearer. It was a Hungarian Wedding commerative medal dated 1893. Mutt and Jeff are still trying to get more background on Joseph Muller. So far the kind people at the American Numismatic Society identified him as the Director of the Vienna Mint, Austria. |
