Exconvento is an imposing construction by its dimensions and solidity. It has two claustros. The greater one, or Patio of Processions, is surrounded by runners with gothic vaults and columns. Rest of paintings to the fresh air can be appraised.

The other claustro, or " Patio of the lemon trees ", lacks runners. Exconvento lodges to the Regional Museum of Oaxaca where with a modern museografy, numerous prehispanic pieces of Oaxaca are exhibited and ethnic aspects are the state. Here the treasure found in Tomb 7 of Monte Albán can be admired.
