14 Dec 2003 : The FTP site is temporarily unavailable. While OpenOffice.org v1.1.x for Mac OS X has not been officially released yet, "Start OpenOffice.org" v1.0b8 does work with pre-release versions of OpenOffice.org v1.1.x (when installed correctly for single-user operation).

21 Oct 2002 : Released "Start OpenOffice.org.x11app" v1.0b1 Launch Menu Item for "OroborOSX" [no longer required with "Start OpenOffice.org" v1.0b4].

v1.0b8. Fix problem with the "Application.applescript" script being too long to edit with Script Editor - moved some handlers to separate "Utility.applescript".

Add support for creating new "OpenOffice.org" documents directly from "Start OpenOffice.org", even when "OpenOffice.org" is not running.

Fix problem with carriage returns in the "~/.sversionrc" file not being filtered out.

Add support for converting font files dragged to "Start OpenOffice.org" application icon into "OpenOffice.org" font format - no longer launch XServer until necessary. Report "fondu" errors.

Add support for localized strings.

Various tidy-ups.

Make sure documents to be opened are files, and not folders or disks.

v1.0b7. Add support for configuring printers, and patch the "soffice" script, if necessary.

Add support for multiple versions of "OpenOffice.org" in the "~/.sversionrc" file.

Various tidy-ups. Check if running on valid system.

Display Alert if chosen "OpenOffice.org" application is missing, or can't be found because of a missing "~/.sversionrc" file.

Re-arranged code to avoid strange problems in Mac OS X 10.1.x. Added special case workaround for Mac OS X 10.1.x.

Display Alert if the XServer or "OpenOffice.org" can't be launched successfully. Redirect errors and output to a temporary file rather than /dev/null, and use this file to provide details when errors are reported.
