Tidy Bugs

Introduction

Tidy is software to check and correct HTML and XML source. Tidy was originally written by Dave Raggett, and is now maintained by a group of developers as an open source project on SourceForge. Tidy is freely available for a number of platforms.

For more information on Tidy, visit the Tidy project home page on SourceForge or the original Tidy project home page.

This page only lists known bugs in the Mac OS versions of Tidy.

For a comprehensive list of all known bugs in Tidy for all platforms, visit the Tidy project bug tracker on SourceForge or the "html-tidy" mailing list archive and "tidy-develop" mailing list archive pages.

Bugs in BBTidy 1.0b9 (04 Aug 00) version

  • There are known problems with BBTidy and BBEdit v7.x - a new version of BBTidy will be coming soon.
  • Undo does not work with BBEdit 6.0/6.0.1. It works OK with earlier versions of BBEdit, but gives an error -50 Alert with BBEdit 6.0/6.0.1. This is fixed in BBEdit 6.0.2 or later.
  • BBTidy can't be used as a BBEdit plug-in with Metrowerks CodeWarrior Pro 6 or later. BBTidy does work as a BBEdit plug-in with earlier versions of CodeWarrior Pro, but does nothing with CodeWarrior Pro 6 or later - Metrowerks no longer supports BBEdit plug-ins starting with CodeWarrior Pro 7.

When the About Box is displayed, the default "ring" for the configuration dialog, shows through.
