Santa Clara Valley Canary & Exotic Bird Club
May, 1975
Santa Clara High School Cafetorium
Pot Luck 1:00 P.M. Meeting 1:45

Dear Members,

Please Note!! The May meeting will be held on Sunday the 18th. The topic for this meeting will be a workshop dealing with current problems of birds. Bring your questions to the meeting and let's compare notes on breeding, care of birds and diseases, etc. We would like to thank Jim Machado for his excellent presentation at the April meeting. We had a large crowd there, even some from Tracy.

The Bill 1766 passed the State for exotic animals and certain birds. We will obtain more information as to the involvement of the bird breeders.

BIRD CLUB at Bakersfield will have their first Bird Show on Nov. 16th. Let's support the club, plan to show some birds.....

The Directory will be printed up shortly and will be mailed to those out of towners. It's a $500 fine for any person letting birds out of their aviary. Some of these birds are possibly escapees from cages and aviaries and some liberated by smugglers. It is absolutely illegal to liberate non-nature birds in this state.

WATCHBIRD PHOTO CONTEST for Exotic cage/aviary birds only. See the A.F.A. Watchbird issue April 1975 at the next meeting.
