This month instead of our regular meeting, we will have our annual feather show at Mayfield Mall - see enclosure. Please support the feather show by showing some of the birds you raised this year. Call Charlotte if you have any questions concerning the show.

The Pet Faire was a big success. Thanks to all who displayed their birds. A number of our members entered birds in Northern Calif. Budgerigar Society First Annual Exotic & Budgerigar show at the Fair Grounds. Pres. Allen Thompson won BEST small exotic with a Chattering Lory. Lorraine DiMaria won BEST finch with a Hecks Shaftail.

When you are selecting the birds you are going to show, pick one out for our show auction. All members are asked to PLEASE donate a bird- budgie, canary, finch, book bill, etc. There is only two ways our club can meet the expenses of the show, 1. Entry Fees, 2. Bird auction.

The club is buying all the meat for our Show Banquet. We will need Jello Salads, Sweet potatoes, Pies, Cakes, Coffee, Pickles, Olives, Stuffed Celery or other condements, or you may donate cash instead, to help purchase any additional items, that are needed. Call Ruby Dubois.

Our next meeting Nov. 7, is our annual nomination & election of officers. There is a number of positionsto be filled this year. If you, or you know of any member who would like to be more active in our club, please submit their name to Allen Thompson. Allen will not be running for any office and will relay your suggestion to the nominating committee.

The show cages, Red Factor wire cages that Allen ordered for the club members are here. Call Allen and tell him how many you will need. They are painted black and have perches.
