River Otters are very entertaining animals. With a
long powerful tail and a sleek body, they are
exceptional swimmers. Oil at the base of their fur
and closeable nostrils and ears enable them to stay
in the water for long periods of time. They spend
their days sleeping, eating, swimming and just
having fun.
River Otters are related to sea otters, minks, weasels, martins and ferrets.
