914/6 -- click here for a larger image
$13,000

This is how my car looked when it was photographed for a calendar a couple of years ago.  Click on the photo to see a larger image, or click on the Body, Interior, Engine, and Wheels/Brakes/Tires headings to see some photos I took last week.

Since the time that this photo was taken, the 15-inch chrome Fuchs wheels have been replaced by 16-inch black-center Fuchs, the cheesy side-mirrors in the photo have been replaced by 911 mirrors, the chrome windshield frame has been blacked out, and the rocker panels have been replaced by stretched 911 boxed rockers.

35K miles on the engine, 25K on the transmission.  Engine and transmission were built by John Williamson at Otto's; bodywork and paint are by Beach Boys Racing.

The car is street-registered and exempt from California's emissions requirements.  Porsche Club of America Club Racing rules would place it in the "GT-4" class.

In its day, the Diablo Model 1200 was one of the finest printers you could buy.  This particular unit -- without a case and in uncertain condition -- is probably useful only to someone who already has a Diablo and just needs some spare parts... Or to a sailor who needs a new boat-anchor.

Diablo Model 1200 Printer Guts

This is the same unit that Tucker sells, used, for $1,895.  Of course, mine has no owner's manual and it hasn't been recently calibrated.  However, informal tests against a calibrated voltmeter showed that my unit isn't too far off... And if you really need exceedingly-high precision, you can always get it calibrated for another couple-hundred bucks or so.
