Mr. Guirreri is the Director of Information Assurance Development in the Federal Sector of Computer Sciences Corporation. While at CSC he has managed the work of over 200 Information Assurance professionals. This included work efforts for a wide range of Federal and commercial clients. He has led the development of the DOD Automated Infrastructure Management System (AIMS) an intrusion detection and correlation expert system. During his career he has served as the leader of numerous key programs/projects for the Defense Information Systems Agency, the National Communications System, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the United States Air Force and NATO.

He was one of the first officers assigned to the NATO Programming Center in Glons, Belgium where he was responsible for all the support software and computer acceptance tests for the development of the NATO Air Defense Ground Environment (NADGE). His international staff produced all the computer program tapes that run the air defense sites from the Northern tip of Norway to the eastern tip of Turkey.

While stationed at the Air Force Data Systems Design Center, Montgomery AL he was on the team that formulated the capital replacement program for the Air Force which replaced mainframe computers at all Air Force bases.

While assigned to the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon Colonel Guirreri was responsible for the implementation of minicomputers for all Commander an chief locations worldwide. These computers were used to provide simulation and wargame modeling in all theaters of operation.

As a Colonel in the United States Air Force, Mr. Guirreri served as the Chief, Operations Division, National Communications System (NCS). Mr. Guirreri was responsible for the coordination and implementation of computer security measures and information assurance exchange between the Department of Defense (DOD) and organizations from the rest of the Federal government. In his role as manager of the National Coordination Center he was also responsible for the exchange of information assurance data between key industry representatives in the National Telecommunications Advisory Committee and Federal government representatives. He chaired the Standing Subcommittee on Upgrades to hotlines to previous Warsaw Pact nations including Russia. He was the Deputy Head of Delegation during Department of State negotiations at the Kremlin in Moscow and later also at Washington D.C.

Other tours of duty included Commander of the Defense Information Systems Agency – Europe (Patch Barracks, Stuttgart, Germany); Commander 1962 Communications Group (Kadena Air Base, Okinawa); Deputy Commander, 18th Combat Support Wing; Deputy Base Commander Kadena Air Base; and Deputy Commander 1961st Communications Group, (Clark Air Base, Republic of the Philippines). He was the U.S. representative to the NATO Allied Long Lines Committee and managed the U.S. representation at the NATO Civil Communications Planning Committee. He was the head of the communications team during the National Exercise Catastrophic 97 which helped the U.S. prepare for a potential 5 state earthquake. Col Guirreri represented the National Communications System at several meetings of the national level Catastrophic Disaster Respons Group. His military decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Medal, the Air Force Meritorious medal with 3 oak leaf clusters, Joint Commendation Medal, the Air Force Commendation medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Joint Services Commendation Medal, and several other awards and decorations.

Mr. Guirreri is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Military Operations Research Society and President of both the Okinawa, Japan and the Stuttgart Germany AFCEA chapters. He holds BA from DePauw University and an MA from University of Missouri both in theoretical mathematics. He received the first ROTC full scholarship at DePauw University. He was later named in as one of the Outstanding Young Men of America, Outstanding Company Grade Officer of the Air Force Data Systems Design Center, and the Outstanding Data Automation Officer for Air Force Communications Command. Mr. Guirreri is a Harvard University, JFK School of Government, Senior Executive Fellow. He was the chairman of a CIO Council Y2K sub-committee when the Y2K committee was recognized by Government Computer News for Leadership in 1996. Mr. Guirreri is currently a subcommittee chair of the IAC SIG on Information assurance. He is a member of the ITAP, GEIA study group, and ITAA committee. Mr. Guirreri has recently been elected to his high school Hall of Fame. He and his wife Chery have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
