This book is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. In my opinion this book is not only a fine fictional story representing the best in human values, it is a culmination of that heroic spirit that should be any person's goal while they pursue their lifes desire and career. It has been called the most influential book since the Bible! I certainly would have no argument with that statement, my copy is becoming quite threadbare I have read it so many times! It is the greatest book in my library!
