Bulletins: Old News

March 1997

Finally got rid of those annoying frames. I still haven't gotten around to implementing a Java-based navigation bar yet, so you'll just have to live with the current JavaScript implementation for awhile. I've also noticed that the layout of the navigation bar doesn't always look right unless your browser window is maximized, but since I will eventually write it in Java anyway I doubt I'll be fixing the JavaScript. For you gaming addicts out there, take a look at my gaming section for news about the now free Mplayer (as well as other miscellaneous new links here and there).

February 1997

As a temporary fix, the buttons of the navigation bar are now (hopefully) precached. However, as a more permanent solution, I plan to implement the navigation bar using Java.

GeoCities has added support for external JavaScript files, so I've finally enabled the navigation bar. Unfortunately, the buttons in the navigation bar seem to take quite a while to load. Because they take so long to load, you may not see the effect I'm hoping for. Please be patient until I come up with an alternative!
[15 February 1997]

MSDOS interrupt info and mouse info have been added to Technical References (formerly known as Accessing Hardware) in the Programming section.
[10 February 1997]

I've added some information about the Internet Head to Head Daemon (IHHD) and Netrek to the Gaming section. You may also notice that the entries are now sorted by name.
[07 February 1997]

I've added a guestbook to my page. I wonder if anyone (other than my friends) actually visits my page?

January 1997

The Humour section is now open!
[19 January 1997]

If you've been trying to reach Plasma Injection via http://www.ariel.cs.yorku.ca/~cs952060/, my apologies. After FTP'ing a modified page there, I forgot to give read access. Oops!
[13 January 1997]

Argh! GeoCities doesn't allow files ending in ".js", so I can't have external JavaScript files! I've e-mailed them about adding ".js" files to their list of supported file types, but who knows how long it will take for them to actually do anything! Until then, the navigation bar will be unavailable.
[12 January 1997]

Each section now contains a navigation bar at the bottom.
[12 January 1997]

The Troubleshooting and Files sections have been sent to the firing squad. In their places are the following new sections: Programming, Emulation, Did you Know...? and Humour. You'll also find the recently added Data on Demand links section.
[11 January 1997]

The idea for the look of some of the sections (the headings in particular) were leeched from Node99 - Emulation at its Best.

The Just for Fun area is now available!
[19 December 1996]

The Gaming section, Down To Earth links, and Looking for Something? links are now available!

October 1996

I know I don't update this page much, so I've changed it (again) so that, hopefully, frequent updates won't be required.
