A bit about the black folder
Over the years of running Rolemaster it dawned on me that one thing was essentially missing from every single RM supplement or product, or in some cases every page. The word 'Optional', RM suffers from far too many 'optional' rules and the like, and although if carefully selected they really can build up the flavour of the game, taken in excess they really screw things up.
Anyway, from this realisation came the aforementioned black folder, as it is now known to my players; this folder is a collection of rulings and clarifications about all the RM supplements etc that have built up over the years. If anyone needs to know something, it's either in the folder or after a few minutes frantic typing, by god it will be. This page holds a few of the more, possibly, useful items in the black folder and hopefully someone will find them useful.
rm-frost.txt
Mana frosts, an arcane spell list in the common trend of things, based on mana fires and mana currents of course.
rm-herbs.txt
An updated herb list with slightly more expensive prices, 'recreational' herbs. By the way I don't believe in lifegiving herbs.
rm-picks.txt
Innate stat picks for powerplaying games, erm, not that my games are high level or anything. OK so the players generally end up with a lowest stat of 75ish but I like high fantasy.
rm-poiso.txt
A list of poisons, sorted by frequency, after all if the players can have herbs you should have poisons!
rm-races.txt
A list of the races that exist on my world, with huge numbers of half-elf crossbreeds.
rm-runes.txt
A list of power runes for armour, weapons and miscellaneous items. Or as Micheal Caine would say, "Runes, thousand's of 'em"
rm-tele.txt
A teleportation failure table, I always thought that deviating d% feet was a bit sad.
rm-timel.txt
The timeline for my campaign world, well someone might find it interesting.
Scimitar
Scimitar is my attempt at an RPG system, combining elements of Cyberpunk, Runequest, Rolemaster, and several other systems into one big loveable chunk. I wrote it and it's great. It's more of a supplement for Cyberpunk really, but here it is anyway...
scimitar.txt
All trademarks etc are recognised, if anyone's got a problem with something that I've included on this page just let me and my lawyers know and we'll work something out.
