Like so many others here, I want to thank you. The small cram session
this morning allowed me to pass both the core and Dos/Win test this morning
with a 77 and a 87. Not great, but it passed. Off to MCSE I go.

I passed both exams today scoring 93 on Core and 89 on Dos/Win. I would
like to thank Neil and others for braindumps and questions. I read two
books by Sybex (terrible books!!) and studied Neil's questions and other
braindumps scattered around the net. Af er gathering all the info., I figure
I got at least 70% of real questions from the braindumps. Compared to CNE
exams and MCP (Win95)exam I took last year, this test was a breeze. I finished
both exams in 35 minutes. My advice is not to memorize the answer for braindump
questions. If you go over each quesition with a study guide or book, you
should pass. If you don't pass after doing this, well...Anyway, study Neil's
questions!!! As for my share of braindump, (I think most of the wuestions
already posted h re.) I will add couple questions I remembered.

of $20! What a deal!) I've surfed all over for exam preps and the like.
Awesome info available out there!(this site included :) After A+ comes

Wrote both exams this week, 95% on Core, 90% on Dos/Windows. I used
Mike Myers A+ complete guide. Studied for a month before writing. Read
the book, chapter by chapter, take notes about things that you don't know
off the top of your head, then study these areas in the book. It sounds
silly, but don't waste your time studying things that you already now.
Good luck all!

Yup, this here website sure was a sight for sore, isolated eyes. I
took both tests this morning and found them to be quite challenging. Nevertheless,
I managed a 96% on the Core Exam and a measly 80% on Dos/Win. I concur
with many of the comments shown be ow concerning how to prepare for the
A+ exams. Assuming, of course, that you're a neophyte to the industry (why
else would you be taking these exams?), a couple of months study to digest
the material would be prudent. This website and its links to practic tests
proved to be of great help. However, I feel that having (and reading) a
good text was just as important. I used Michael Meyers "All-in-One A+ Certification
Exam Guide" and found it to be about the most readable of the lot. Having
passed the tests, 'm all done with the text and would be willing to pass
it (as well as some ancillary materials) along to anyone interested in
it. Onward and upward and all that.

Just passed the Core with a 71. I had a lot of bizarre, ambiguous questions
thrown at me. I'd say that 40% of the questions on my test were on the
internet. The rest of the questions I had to use good common sense on.
Some advice: 1) don't go to a testing center with an A+ training facility
built in 2) Make sure your David Groth Certification books are updated
for the newer exams. I got stuck with the old crap and e-mailed them to
find out if there was anything newer available. They (of course) never
e-mailed me back and a few weeks later I went to Barnes and Nobles only
to find new ones which I wouldn't buy after knowing their "you buy then
we won't support you attitude". 3) Get yourself a Red Exam Cram book....at
$25 they are more than happy to inform you that you are going to pass.
Gives you a good feeling!

to nervous participants is not to read anyone's braindumps and study your

Exam Prep book it goes into alot more detail. for about 80 bucks for the
both of them it is more than worth the pr ce. The books got me thinking
along the "flow" of what was asked on the test. Also there is no substitute
for hands on. Look in the classified or what ever recycler newspaper and
get a used 486 and take it a part a couple of times format and load the
hard drive a few times also I have found complete systems for $200 you
will get alot more than that when you pass. I know I did

the next two weeks.Just wondered if anyone that has taken the test has
any good info..I did find one good site for the new test http://www.nerdgirl.net/derekbd.html..There
is alot there. If you have any information on the new test please email
me. Also for anyone trying to decide whether to self study go to a school
or training center--->remember everyone learns differently. If you're not
already a self starter the self study will be ve y burdensome. My friend
went to Mindworks and had a horrific experience. He's still taking the
test but has had to do alot more self study then they originally implied. He
also needed more hands on experience then they offered. It's not like he's
an idi t-he's got an IQ of 180. He just didnt think enough about whether
the format that was offered was compatible with how he learned information.
Make sure you know yourself well enough to pick a learning environment
that suits you (reading books, oral, hands on,with group interaction,etc...)..Well
that's my 2 cents...Thanks everyone!

I just want to say thanks to the A+ Braindump Questions for helping
me pass my A+ Exam. I found many of the Questions on this study guide on
the Actual Exam. And this is a FACT. I feel that having on the job experience
plus studying this material should h lp you pass the Test with no problem.

I am from Cape Town, South Africa. I wrote both modules of the A+ on
Monday 27/07/98 and passed both. For those studying for their exams, my
tip to them is to visit Neil and Phil's A+ brain dump web site it was very
informative and quite a few of their qu stions where VERY similar to the
exam questions. Thanks Neil and Phil!!!!! I also learned a few things from
their pages that weren't in my notes. GOOD LUCK!

Hi, Did you make it on your own? I mean finished your course and became
an MCSe through self-study. I'm struggling whether to go self-study instead
of enrolling in schoold. The school fees go as high as 18 grand. Please
let me know if it is worth and also if there's plenty of room up there
as MCSE. Thanks,

I've been sat at this stupid computer, for about an hour and a half,
looking for some little helping hints to the CNA exam. Unfortunatly yours
has been the only one that i've found . My web name is Goody and I live
a little way outside London, England. Just dropping you a line to say thanks
!!!!!!!!!! at least someone has taken the effort to post something of any
use on the net. I take my exam on Wednesday, but must admit I feel quite
confident. Cheers Goody

Hi Art, Thanks for the comments and best of luck on your certifications.
I took a class for three of the MCSE courses, but besides that, I did everything
by self-study (MCSE, CNA, A+) in eight months, so it CAN be done. However,
be prepared to give up your social life for a few months. Once completed
you will receive the rewards in self-satisfaction, better pay and more
job opportunities. I got a great job within 3 weeks of completing my MCSE.
Good Luck ! Cheers, -Neil

Dear Sir: I just wanted to comment on your site of MCSE related links.
I am currently working as a Help Desk Rep/PC Technician at a small company
in upstate NY. It is a major goal of mine to achieve A+, CNA/CNE, and MCSE
certifications. Lofty goals, I know, but it is really what I want to do.
As an MCSE, I would be a little more in control of my future than where
I am at now. I don't really see much advancement too far above where I
am now (at least with this company) without the certification. I have taken
it upon myself to do this all myself, since I can't afford to take courses
and the company will not pay for it. Just wanted to say thanks for all
of the helpful information.

Hi Bruce, I don't normally answer these questions, but since I'm online
now, I'll try and help. As I have added a few new questions recently that
others have sent me, I havent been placing the answers on my page. The
truth is I'm actually not sure about that question, but it will likely
be on your test (like many other questions on my page). Mindworks says
that answer is General Purpose Cleaner, but Indusyss says the answer is
TMC Solvent. In deciding between those two answers, your guess is as good
as mine. Personally, on the rare times that I do clean my keyboard, I use
an all-purpose cleaner. Hope this helps.

TALKED TO SOMEONE WHO TOOK THE TEST AND THAT QUESTION WAS ON THE TEST AND
HE DIDN'T KNOW THE ANSWER. I AM TAKING THE A+ ON JULY 18TH. THANKS, BRUCE

Hi Tom, I only used the David Groth books. They're OK. I put a link
at the bottom to the Groth kit at Amazon. If you have hardware experience,
I don't think classes are necessary. You really only need to know the basics
for these exams. And know the questions on my website. Hope this helps
! Good Luck http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0782122957/r/002-6121573-3395658

Hi Neil, I am thinking about taking the A+ certification. Could you
tell me what material(s) did you studied with? I meant book title, author
and etc. Also, do you think that I should take the regular classes or just
book will be enough? I've been working with hardware for few years, but
PC hardware. Thanks in advance. Tommy
