Introducing the Grand Duchess Damelia St. Karlon, former Queen of Furyondy. Still referred to by her friends as Princess, her title before becoming Queen and then advocating it, Damelia is all that these titles conjure up. She is a tall blond hair, opal eyed beauty who conducts herself regally and gracefully at all times. To view her as she sits atop Shadow Dancer, her hematite colored Pegasus, in her golden plate armor, her battle helm of Athena's owl cover her head with her long golden locks shimming and a light glow emulating from her magical battle axe and down her arm, she is quite impressive. Those who see her, and are not intimate friends, think of her as regal, distant and unapproachable, however their estimation of her would be a bit off. While it is true that due to her station in life she has often times kept herself at arms length to those she does not know, she is a very friendly person.
When Damelia was very young she knew it was her destiny to follow in her paternal great-grandfather's footsteps. Galahad St. Karlon was a Paladin of renown. He championed the cause of good headless of all risks (even the risk of his kingdom losing it's king). It was in this pursuit that he chose to enter the great Abyss nearly 75 years ago, never to be seen again. Damelia grew up on tales of how wonderful a warrior her Galahad was, as well as stories of King Arthur and his knights, that she knew that that was her calling, she would train to be a Paladin and fight evil always. Little did Damelia realize that one day she would have to confront her own brother.
Damelia was forced to flee Furyondy after her brother became king (which he did so by murdering Damelia's father). It was at this time that she met her oldest and dearest friends: Rhom, Anastasia, Bart, Carnellia, Vanor, Amajaro, and (to save the best for last) Glorin Brighbow. Thus began a long and enjoyable (for the most part) adventuring career. Damelia has formed many more friendships in her 17 years as an adventurer, (Moorak Drake, Raitan Drake, Suevellia Kanian, Solonaine, and Arianna to name just a few) and counts herself lucky to have experienced life as she has. Although it's been tough regaining her kingdom and achieving the honor of being a Champion of Athena (she is now a 9th level Paladin of Athena), she has little regrets. The only one that truly stands out is that she has yet to due her duty to her family and produce heirs, which she hopes to rectify in the future
